What is begging the question?

"Begging the question" is a logical fallacy where the conclusion that one is attempting to prove is included in the initial premise of an argument, often in a disguised or rephrased way.

For example, saying "Reading is essential for students because it is important that students read" begs the question. The statement assumes the necessity of reading without providing an external justification for why it is important.
